Versatile .223 Remington Performance

The .223 Remington cartridge is a popular choice among hunters and recreational shooters thanks to its manageable recoil, practical accuracy potential, and broad ammunition availability.

Its ballistic characteristics make it particularly suitable for predator hunting, varmint hunting, and target shooting when paired with appropriate ammunition.

The Winchester XPR Extreme SR provides a dependable bolt-action platform designed to take advantage of the cartridge's versatility.

Precision 20-Inch Spiral-Fluted Barrel

The 20-inch spiral-fluted barrel combines distinctive styling with functional design.

Spiral fluting removes material from the barrel exterior, contributing to weight reduction compared with an otherwise identical unfluted barrel.

The 20-inch configuration provides a practical balance between portability and ballistic performance.

Winchester's precision button-rifling process is designed to produce consistent bore geometry and support repeatable accuracy.

Threaded Muzzle Versatility

The XPR Extreme SR features a threaded muzzle, allowing compatibility with appropriately rated muzzle accessories.

This configuration provides additional flexibility for owners who prefer compatible manufacturer-approved muzzle devices.

Exact muzzle thread specifications should be confirmed against the factory product number before selecting accessories.

FDE Cerakote Corrosion Protection

The Flat Dark Earth Cerakote barrel finish enhances durability while providing a distinctive appearance.

Cerakote is a protective ceramic-based coating designed to resist corrosion, moisture, and normal surface wear.

Its FDE coloration complements the Mossy Oak Bottomland camouflage stock, creating an attractive hunting rifle configuration.

Mossy Oak Bottomland Camouflage Stock

The Mossy Oak Bottomland synthetic stock features one of the most recognizable camouflage patterns in hunting.

Designed around natural bark, timber, and earthy coloration, the pattern complements wooded and brush-covered environments.

The synthetic stock provides practical advantages over traditional wood construction, including resistance to moisture-related swelling and reduced maintenance requirements.

Its rugged construction makes it suitable for extended field use.

Winchester M.O.A. Trigger System

The Winchester M.O.A. Trigger System is engineered to deliver a crisp, consistent trigger break.

Its design minimizes unnecessary trigger movement, helping shooters maintain control during recreational target shooting and hunting applications.

A predictable trigger is an important component of a precision-oriented bolt-action rifle.

Smooth Three-Lug Bolt Action

The XPR features a three-lug bolt design with a 60-degree lift, providing convenient clearance around mounted optics.

The short bolt lift contributes to smooth, efficient operation.

Its Nickel Teflon-coated bolt is designed to reduce friction and improve corrosion resistance, supporting dependable cycling in changing outdoor conditions.

Free-Floating Barrel Design

The XPR Extreme SR incorporates a free-floating barrel configuration intended to minimize unwanted contact between the barrel and stock.

This design helps reduce external pressure that could affect barrel harmonics and point-of-impact consistency.

Combined with the precision button-rifled barrel and stable receiver design, it supports the rifle's accuracy potential.

Detachable Box Magazine

The detachable box magazine provides convenient ammunition management and straightforward loading and unloading.

Its removable design complements the XPR's practical hunting configuration.

Exact magazine capacity should be verified against the specific Winchester factory SKU.

Two-Position Safety with Bolt Unlock Button

The Winchester XPR incorporates a two-position safety system with a separate bolt unlock button.

This arrangement allows the bolt to be opened while the safety remains engaged, providing an additional practical feature during routine firearm handling.

Always follow Winchester's official safety instructions.

Built for Predator and Varmint Hunting

The combination of .223 Remington chambering, a 20-inch spiral-fluted barrel, FDE Cerakote protection, and Mossy Oak Bottomland camouflage makes the XPR Extreme SR a practical sporting rifle for appropriate predator and varmint hunting applications.

Its manageable recoil, synthetic stock, and weather-resistant construction also make it an appealing choice for recreational range use.

Use & Maintenance

Use only .223 Remington ammunition approved by Winchester for this firearm. Do not assume compatibility with 5.56 NATO ammunition unless expressly confirmed by the manufacturer.

Always completely unload the rifle and verify that the chamber and magazine are empty before cleaning, inspection, transportation, or storage.

Follow Winchester's official owner's manual for recommended barrel cleaning, bolt maintenance, lubrication, and inspection procedures.

Periodically inspect the barrel, chamber, bolt assembly, magazine, and muzzle threads for fouling, damage, or excessive wear.

Use only compatible, manufacturer-approved accessories and consult a qualified gunsmith or authorized Winchester service provider when professional maintenance is required.

Store the rifle unloaded in a secure, dry location.
