High-Performance 6.5 PRC Chambering

The 6.5 PRC is a modern centerfire cartridge designed to deliver excellent ballistic efficiency, high velocity, and a flat trajectory.

Its performance characteristics make it popular among hunters seeking a capable cartridge for deer, elk, and other appropriate game species where legal.

The Ruger American Gen 2 provides an accuracy-focused bolt-action platform designed to complement the cartridge's capabilities.

20-Inch Precision Barrel

The 20-inch barrel provides a compact alternative to longer hunting rifle configurations while maintaining practical ballistic performance.

Its shorter overall dimensions improve maneuverability in dense timber, hunting blinds, and challenging terrain.

Ruger's cold hammer-forging process produces a durable barrel designed for consistent performance and long service life.

Gun Metal Gray Cerakote Finish

The Gun Metal Gray Cerakote finish gives the rifle a distinctive appearance while providing enhanced protection against moisture, corrosion, and everyday wear.

Cerakote is especially beneficial for hunting rifles exposed to rain, humidity, temperature changes, and demanding outdoor conditions.

Combined with the Gray Splatter synthetic stock, the finish creates a modern, coordinated appearance.

Threaded Barrel with Factory Muzzle Brake

The rifle features a threaded muzzle equipped with a factory muzzle brake designed to help reduce felt recoil and muzzle movement.

This feature can improve shooting comfort, particularly when using higher-performance cartridges such as the 6.5 PRC.

The threaded configuration also provides compatibility with appropriately rated alternative muzzle accessories where lawful.

Always verify thread specifications, caliber compatibility, and manufacturer requirements before changing muzzle devices.

Gray Splatter Synthetic Stock

The Gray Splatter stock combines durable synthetic construction with modern Ruger American Gen 2 styling.

Its weather-resistant material helps maintain consistent dimensions in changing environmental conditions, while its ergonomic design supports comfortable handling.

The distinctive splatter finish provides additional visual character without sacrificing the practicality of synthetic furniture.

Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger

The Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger is engineered to provide a crisp, predictable trigger break.

Its adjustable design allows the trigger pull to be configured within Ruger's approved range to accommodate individual preferences.

A consistent trigger contributes to shooter confidence and supports the rifle's accuracy potential.

Three-Lug Bolt with 70-Degree Lift

The Ruger American Gen 2 incorporates a three-lug bolt design with a 70-degree lift.

This configuration provides practical clearance around mounted optics while supporting smooth, efficient bolt operation.

The design combines the reliability of a traditional bolt-action rifle with modern ergonomic improvements.

Ruger Power Bedding System

Ruger's Power Bedding integral bedding system is designed to secure the receiver within the stock while supporting consistent alignment.

Combined with the free-floating barrel, this system helps minimize unwanted pressure and contributes to repeatable accuracy.

The result is a stable foundation for hunting and recreational target shooting.

Adjustable Stock Fit

The second-generation Ruger American platform features an improved stock system designed to accommodate different shooters.

An adjustable length-of-pull system allows customization of the stock fit, while interchangeable comb components provide options for adjusting cheek height to match different optic configurations.

These features help promote comfortable and consistent shooting positions.

Factory Picatinny Optics Rail

The factory-installed Picatinny rail provides a convenient mounting platform for compatible riflescopes and optic mounting systems.

This feature allows shooters to select optics appropriate for their intended hunting or sporting application without requiring a separate receiver rail.

Detachable Magazine System

The detachable magazine system provides straightforward loading and unloading.

Its removable configuration complements the practical design of the Ruger American Gen 2 and simplifies routine firearm handling and storage.

Magazine capacity and compatibility should be confirmed using the exact Ruger model number.

Built for Big-Game Hunting

The Ruger American Gen 2 combines several features valued by hunters who prioritize durability, accuracy, and field performance.

Its 6.5 PRC chambering, 20-inch barrel, factory muzzle brake, adjustable trigger, and weather-resistant Gray Splatter stock create a versatile hunting rifle suited to a variety of outdoor environments.

The compact configuration is particularly appealing for hunters who frequently navigate dense vegetation, uneven terrain, or confined hunting blinds.

Modern Ruger American Gen 2 Engineering

The American Rifle Generation II platform builds upon the original Ruger American's reputation for practical accuracy, reliability, and value.

Refinements to the stock design, bolt-action ergonomics, exterior finishes, and overall configuration make the Gen 2 an attractive option for hunters and sporting shooters seeking modern features in a dependable bolt-action rifle.
