High-Velocity .22 Creedmoor Performance

The .22 Creedmoor is recognized for its high-velocity capabilities, flat trajectory, and versatility with appropriate .22-caliber projectiles.

Its performance characteristics make it an attractive option for predator and varmint hunters seeking a modern centerfire cartridge with excellent accuracy potential.

The cartridge also appeals to recreational and precision shooters who value consistent performance with appropriately selected ammunition.

20-Inch Spiral-Fluted Barrel

The 20-inch spiral-fluted barrel provides a practical balance between maneuverability, barrel rigidity, and overall rifle weight.

Spiral fluting removes material from the barrel exterior while giving the rifle a distinctive appearance.

The compact barrel configuration is particularly convenient for hunters navigating dense vegetation, hunting blinds, and uneven terrain.

Threaded Muzzle Versatility

The threaded muzzle provides compatibility with appropriately rated muzzle accessories and suppressors where lawful.

This configuration gives owners flexibility when selecting compatible equipment for their intended sporting application.

Always verify thread pitch, caliber compatibility, and manufacturer requirements before installing muzzle accessories.

Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger

The Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger is designed to provide a crisp, predictable trigger break.

Its adjustable configuration allows the trigger pull to be set within Ruger's approved range, helping accommodate individual shooting preferences.

A consistent trigger contributes to shooter confidence and supports the rifle's accuracy potential.

Precision Three-Lug Bolt Action

The Ruger American Gen 2 incorporates a three-lug bolt with a 70-degree lift, providing smooth operation and additional clearance for mounted optics.

The design combines straightforward bolt-action reliability with practical ergonomics for sporting and hunting applications.

Power Bedding System

Ruger's Power Bedding integral bedding system helps secure the receiver and maintain consistent positioning within the stock.

This precision-oriented design supports the free-floating barrel and contributes to the rifle's potential for repeatable accuracy.

Grey Splatter Synthetic Stock

The Grey Splatter stock gives the American Gen 2 a distinctive appearance while maintaining the durability and weather resistance of synthetic construction.

Unlike traditional wood stocks, synthetic materials resist moisture-related dimensional changes and require relatively little exterior maintenance.

The textured finish and improved stock geometry complement the rifle's practical field-oriented design.

Adjustable Stock Fit

One of the major improvements of the Ruger American Generation II platform is its adaptable stock design.

The adjustable length-of-pull system allows shooters to customize the stock fit, while interchangeable comb components provide options for achieving a comfortable cheek position with different optics.

These features help accommodate different body sizes, clothing layers, and shooting preferences.

Factory Picatinny Optics Rail

The factory-installed Picatinny rail provides a convenient mounting interface for compatible riflescopes and optic mounting systems.

This eliminates the need to source a separate receiver rail and allows owners to select optics appropriate for their intended sporting use.

Detachable Magazine Convenience

The detachable magazine system provides straightforward loading and unloading.

Its removable configuration complements the rifle's practical hunting and recreational shooting design.

Magazine capacity and pattern should be verified using the exact Ruger model number.

Built for Predator & Varmint Hunting

The combination of .22 Creedmoor chambering, a 20-inch spiral-fluted barrel, adjustable trigger, and ergonomic synthetic stock makes the Ruger American Gen 2 an appealing choice for predator and varmint hunting.

Its compact dimensions and durable construction are well suited to hunters who regularly travel between stands or spend extended periods outdoors.

Ruger American Gen 2 Improvements

The second-generation Ruger American platform builds on the original rifle's reputation for practical accuracy and value.

Notable refinements include improved stock ergonomics, interchangeable stock-fit components, distinctive barrel styling, and updated exterior finishes.

These improvements make the Gen 2 a compelling option for shooters seeking modern features without moving into a substantially more expensive precision-rifle platform.

Use & Maintenance

Use only .22 Creedmoor ammunition that meets Ruger's specifications for this rifle.

Always verify that the rifle is completely unloaded and that the chamber and magazine are empty before cleaning, inspection, transportation, or storage.

Follow the Ruger owner's manual for recommended cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance procedures.

Regularly inspect the bore, chamber, bolt assembly, magazine, and threaded muzzle for excessive fouling, damage, or wear.

Use only manufacturer-approved methods when adjusting the trigger or stock components. Consult a qualified gunsmith when necessary.
