Can I buy a DNW gift card online?

No.  We do not offer gift cards online at this time.

How do I go about cancelling my order?

If you plan to cancel your order, please call 870-938-0082.  If the order has already been shipped, it may not be able to be cancelled, and the customer will be responsible for return shipping cost.

How long does it take for money to go back into my account after my return is accepted?

It usually takes between 3-5 business days for the money to return back to your account. Once it does, you will see a credit on your account statement.

How long does it take for my package to arrive to my house?

Most packages take 2 to 4 business days.  Some of our other options are 3-Day Select through UPS and will ship on the day you order (if ordered before 12:00 PM CST) and should be to you within 2 business days.  Shipping times can vary due to Holidays and inclement weather.

If I need to return an item, what steps do I need to take in order to get my package back to you?

All returns are kept as easy as possible. Log into your customer account on dnwoutdoors.com and go to your “completed orders.” Click on the order that you would like to return and on the right-hand side of the page, you will see a link that says, “return items” and you will need to click on this link. Fill out all information on the page and you’re finished. If you do not have a customer account on our website or need help with this process, please call 870-938-0082.

Does DNW Outdoors do transfers on firearms?

Yes.  DNW Outdoors will help you with a gun transfer from a gun purchased elsewhere. We charge $25 dollars and tax for this service.  (NFA items involving trusts will start at $50 dollars for the transfer) The transferred firearm must be picked up by the purchaser on the invoice and there will be no exceptions to this. There is a process that happens internally before your firearm is ready to pick up.  If tracking says your firearms has arrived that does not mean you firearm is ready for pick up and we will notify you when your firearm is ready.  

Transfer Checklist:

Dealer-to-Dealer Transfers

 

  • A valid and current Federal Firearms License (FFL) is required for all dealer-to-dealer transfers.
  • Transfers will not be processed until the dealer provides an active FFL.
  • It is the responsibility of the transferee or dealer on behalf of the transferee to supply this document; DNW Outdoors will not obtain it on your behalf
  • A copy of the dealers FFL can be emailed to guncounter@dnwoutdoors.com and include the transferee's name as the subject line. 
  • Or the FFL may be placed in the package along with the firearm that is being transferred. 

Private Party Transfers

  • A legible photo or photocopy of the seller's or current owner's state-issued ID is required for all private party transfers.
  • No transfer will be completed without a valid state-issued ID from the seller or current owner.
  • Obtaining this document is the transferee's responsibility; DNW Outdoors will not secure it on your behalf.
  • A copy or photocopy of the seller/current owner state issued ID can be emailed to guncounter@dnwoutdoors.com and include the transferee's name as the subject line.  
  • Or a copy or photocopy of the state issued ID can be included in the package along with the firearm is being transferred..  

Contact Information

  • The seller or dealer must include your contact information to facilitate notification when the transfer is ready for pickup.
  • DNW Outdoors will provide your contact details when transferring a firearm to another dealer.

NFA Item Transfers

  • National Firearms Act (NFA) items require either a Form 3 or Form 4 from the dealer or seller before a new Form 4 can be initiated.

Shipping and Packaging

  • All incoming transfers must be packaged securely.
  • Any damage incurred during shipping is the responsibility of the shipper.

Firearm Pickup

  • Only the individual named on the invoice or bill of sale may pick up the transferred firearm.

How can I purchase firearms for your website? 

Eligibility and Legal Compliance

  • Age Requirements:

    • Handguns: Purchasers must be at least 21 years old.
    • Long Guns (Rifles and Shotguns): Purchasers must be at least 18 years old.
    • AOW: Purchaser must be at least 21 years old.
  • Legal Restrictions:

    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws regarding firearm ownership and transfers.
    • Verify that the firearm is legal in both your state of residence and the state where the transfer occurs.
    • DNW Outdoors will not ship any firearms to the state of California, Massachusetts, the city of Chicago, and Washington DC.

Placing an Order

  1. Select a Firearm:

    • Browse and choose from available firearms on our website.
  2. Choose a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL):

    • Firearms must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer.
    • Provide the FFL's information after checkout via email at guncounter@dnwoutdoors.com and include your order number as the subject line. 
    • The FFL may charge a transfer fee; confirm this with them beforehand.
  3. Complete the Purchase:

    • Proceed through the online checkout process.
    • Await an email confirmation with order and shipping details.

Shipping and Transfer Process

  • Shipping:

    • Firearms are shipped to the designated FFL dealer only.
    • You will receive a notification once the firearm arrives at the FFL.
  • Transfer:

    • Complete all necessary background checks and paperwork at the FFL.
    • Only the individual named in the order may take possession of the firearm.

Fees and Taxes

  • Additional Fees:

    • Any applicable background check fees or taxes imposed by your state or local jurisdiction are your responsibility and are payable at the time of pickup.

Returns and Cancellations

  • Inspection:

    • Inspect the firearm at the FFL before completing the transfer.
  • Returns:

    • Once a firearm is transferred to you, it cannot be returned.
    • For defects or issues, contact the manufacturer directly.

Important Considerations

  • Personal Purchase:

    • The individual placing the order must be the one to receive the firearm.
    • Purchasing a firearm for someone else (straw purchase) is illegal.
  • Compliance:

    • It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
