What choke tubes should I use in my Beretta A400 or A300 for duck hunting?
For steel shot in duck hunting, you should use chokes rated for steel — typically Improved Cylinder (IC) or Modified for most duck hunting distances. Beretta's A400 and A300 come with their Optimachoke HP extended choke system, which is designed and rated for steel, bismuth, and tungsten loads. Never run steel shot through a full choke not rated for steel — it can damage the barrel. For close-range flooded timber shooting, IC is ideal.
